Quality assurance
Hasan Kalyoncu University has adopted the understanding that “knowledge is the greatest quality” with the aim of building an institution of international standards. Our University’s quality policy offers our students the best educational opportunities (contributing to both Turkish and world society with an entrepreneurial and innovative perspective), and develops research-development and management processes in the education-training process. It establishes quality assurance mechanisms for the continuous improvement of processes. It monitors the needs and feedback of internal and external stakeholders and aims to raise national and international educational standards.
The Institutional Evaluation Programme of the Higher Education Quality Board, the Bologna Process and the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) are taken as the basis for establishing and maintaining the quality assurance system. The work is carried out under the responsibility of the Quality Commission with the active participation of the University’s top management.
The Hasan Kalyoncu University Quality Assurance System has been designed by taking into account the mechanisms, evaluation processes and related monitoring and evaluation activities it has established to determine, quantitatively and qualitatively, whether it achieves its strategies and objectives in line with its vision and mission. The Quality Assurance System consists of the Education-Training, Research-Development and Management Quality Assurance sub-systems.
The Education-Training Quality Assurance Sub-system aims to ensure that students entering the programmes of the university graduate with the competences stated above. The indicator of the quality of graduates is that graduates are preferred first in their fields and that they are placed in fields compatible with the educational objectives of the programmes from which they graduated and/or in prestigious graduate programmes in Türkiye and abroad.
The Research and Development Quality Assurance Sub-system aims for the university to create added value by producing national and international R&D with its academic staff and all of its resources. The most important evaluation method of the Research and Development Quality Assurance Sub-system consists of the monitoring and evaluation process of all R&D work carried out by faculty members under the roof of Hasan Kalyoncu University and in line with the University’s aims, principles and objectives.
The Management Quality Assurance Sub-system aims at planning the administrative and physical infrastructure for the two sub-systems and ensuring that the system as a whole works with high efficiency. As the indicator of this sub-system, the university should rank higher in international rankings and be among the first among foundation universities in terms of student preference rate.
The Education-Training, Research and Development and Management Quality Assurance Systems cover measuring institutional performance indicators annually, analysing and evaluating the measurements, determining the measures and/or improvement activities and actions to be taken as a result of these evaluations, and continuously reviewing the processes.
