YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation
Hasan Kalyoncu University is in the Institutional Accreditation Programme (KAP) process of the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). This page presents how the process works, the university’s external evaluation history and the related documents.
What is the Institutional Accreditation Programme?
KAP is the evaluation of higher education institutions’ quality assurance, education and training, research and development, social contribution and management systems within the framework of the criteria set by YÖKAK. The evaluation is carried out under four main headings:
| Heading | Scope |
|---|---|
| A. Leadership, Governance and Quality | Governance model, mission and strategic goals, management systems, stakeholder engagement, internationalisation |
| B. Education and Training | Programme design and approval, programme delivery, learning resources, teaching staff |
| C. Research and Development | Research resources, research competence and collaborations, research performance |
| D. Social Contribution | Social contribution strategy and resources, social contribution performance |
Each sub-criterion is assessed with a five-level graded rubric; the higher levels require that the results of practices are monitored and improved together with stakeholders (closing the PDCA cycle). As a result of the evaluation, institutions may be granted full accreditation (5 years) or conditional accreditation (2 years).
